"Goridance" (the "App") respects your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles information.
The App lets you watch a gorilla dance. You can swap a photo onto the gorilla's face and record the dance to share.
The developer does not collect or transmit any personal information. As a rule, all app data is processed and stored only on your device.
The App uses the photo library for photos placed on the gorilla's face. Face cropping is performed entirely on-device, and images are never sent outside your device. Screen recording runs only when you start it yourself.
The App uses Apple's Vision framework (on-device face detection) to locate a face inside a photo you choose. The only thing it obtains is the coordinates of the rectangle where a face appears in that photo. It does not create, collect, or store face templates, face recognition data, biometric identifiers, or facial landmarks, and it never attempts to identify anyone.
The cropped image produced from that rectangle is kept only in memory while the App is running. It is not written to device storage, never sent to any server, and never shared with third parties. It is discarded when you remove the face or quit the App. Retention lasts only for the duration of your session.
Face data leaves the App only if you record a video yourself and then save or share it. In that case it goes to your own photo library and to the recipients or services you choose.
In "Human" mode, the app uses Apple's Vision framework (on-device person segmentation) to separate the shape of a person from the background of a photo you choose. The only thing it obtains is a black-and-white mask indicating, per pixel, whether a person is present. It does not perform body-pose or joint estimation, does not identify individuals, and does not create biometric data.
The background-removed image is held only in memory while the app is running. It is not written to device storage, not sent to any server, and not shared with third parties. It is discarded when you close the app or remove the photo. Retention lasts only for the duration of your session.
This image leaves the app only if you yourself record a video and then save or share it.
Microphone: In "Mic" mode, the App measures only changes in loudness on-device to detect the beat of music playing nearby and match the dance to it. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Recording: Only when you start a recording, the App saves the screen and audio as a video to your photo library. Sharing happens only with the people or services you choose in the share sheet.
The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect an advertising identifier (IDFA), device information, and approximate location for ad delivery and measurement. For details, see the Google Privacy Policy and How AdMob uses data.
Tracking for personalized ads occurs only if you allow it in the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) dialog. All features remain available if you decline. You can change tracking settings anytime under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
The App may offer in-app purchases such as removing ads. Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store, and the developer never receives payment information such as your credit card number.
Except for the processing by the advertising SDK described above, the App does not share your information with third parties.
